Christmas and New Year 22 Delivery Notice.

We are taking orders right up until 10am Thursday 15 December for delivery before Christmas.

During the Christmas holiday period, orders received between 23 December 2022 – 5 January 2023 will be dispatched from 6 December for delivery asap week commencing Monday 9 January 2022.

Extended Returns period Christmas 2022

All orders received between 24 November to 25 December 2022 can be returned right up until 31 January 2023 in accordance with all returns policy details.

We will notify you if your goods are not able to be despatched within this timescale, e.g. some ‘made to order’ goods including the wool ranges may take longer. The cost for delivery are shown depending on the shipping destination and the delivery service selected. Any delivery times quoted are estimates, based on availability and normal delivery time. Please note that there may be some products that we do not ship to certain off shore destinations and if this is the case we will notify you accordingly.

Please give any special delivery instructions on your order form if applicable. Please leave a note in designated place authorizing driver to leave goods there.

NB all special instructions for goods to be left in any place where no one is available in person to take in and sign for the delivery are entirely at the customer’s own risk.

If your order has not been delivered within a maximum of 15 working days of submission, please contact us immediately so that we can trace and track delivery with the delivery service accordingly and avoid any possibility of the parcel being returned to the warehouse resulting in automatic re delivery charges from the courier company.

We want you to be satisfied every time you shop with us. Our “no quibbles” guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with the goods purchased you may cancel your order and return the goods to the Merchant within *15 working days for full refund of the goods in accordance with Consumer Rights. . Goods must be received back to us unused and in original packaging in accordance with our usual terms and conditions and once goods are safely received back to us you will receive a refund within 14 days * It is your responsibility to take care of the goods and they must be returned to us unused and in original packaging.

We will not accept return of:

  • We will not accept the return of used goods, damaged goods or goods out of original packaging
  • Fresh / disposable / perishable goods (e.g. flowers or fresh foods)
  • Sealed audio / video recordings or computer software which have been opened
  • Goods made to the customer’s personal specifications

Please note, whilst every effort is made to accurately reproduce the appearance of each throw and all other products we stock – we cannot accept any responsibility for any colour discrepancies. Different colour display settings on computer monitors can have an effect on the appearance of colours in our product images. You can still return your throw or any other items for a refund, however you will be responsible for the postage costs.

Postage costs are the direct charge from the postal or courier service and as such are non refundable. You are responsible for all postage/courier costs incurred for both sending and returning goods. We recommend that you use Recorded Delivery as proof of shipping is not proof of receipt.

Please note courier delivery services to the Republic of Ireland and overseas destinations maybe currently restricted.  Please contact us prior to order via email – tradehouse-orders@hotmail.co.uk and we can then check delivery to your address with our courier for you.

We can ship overseas – to Europe, Canada, United States, Australia and New Zealand – please contact us by phone or email info@thesofathrowcompany.com and let us know the items you would like and your delivery address – we use a very good and economical overseas shipping service and we will get the best possible rate for you.  Please note however there may currently be restricted courier services to some overseas destinations.

Product Advice

As with all fabrics, our dark colours throws/rugs/fabrics/furnishings should not be placed against lighter colour fabrics/furniture to avoid risk of colour transference. We also do not recommend the placement of any of our throws/rugs/fabrics/furnishings in direct sunlight to prevent any possibility of fading. We cannot accept responsibility for any damage that may subsequently result from any of the above.

Payment methods

You may order online using a credit / debit card (We accept Delta, Maestro, Master Card, Solo, Visa (not Electron), Visa Electron Debit). All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and credit / debit card transactions for orders outside the UK will be converted by the card company at their current exchange rates. Legal

The contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Complaints/Queries

Should you have a complaint or queries with the service or product we provide please contact Customer services by e-mail: info@thesofathrowcompany.com.

We aim to:

  • Acknowledge complaints within 5 working days
  • Advise you how long it will take to resolve the complaint
  • Keep you informed throughout the process
  • Offensive or age restricted material

We take the utmost care to ensure that no material likely to give offence or which is unsuitable for children is displayed on our website. There are, however, certain products that we sell which are unsuitable for children (e.g. Certificate 18 or 15 videos / DVD’s). By placing an order for products with age restrictions you declare that you are of legal age to purchase those products.
